Oil Drum BBQ

Oil Drum BBQAn oil drum BBQ is an easy to make barbeque that utilizes and empty 55-gallon oil drum. These can be found at oil refineries and around industrial applications. Be careful that the drum is empty and opened, a sealed drum can be dangerous. Other materials needed are angle iron and grill mesh.

Cut the oil drum BBQ in half first with a cutting disk. The supports should be 4 feet 6 inches long and the legs are 2 feet 6 inches. Weld them together at ninety degrees and chip of any extra slag. There should be a total of four legs with a cross bar to stabilize the grill.

The next stage is to set the drum into the stand and weld it into place. To make a lid that can be opened and closed simply install hinges on both drums and a handle on the top one. Install the grill grate and drill a few holes in the bottom and sides for air flow before the oil drum BBQ is ready to go. Cook food and enjoy.
