Most
barbeque enthusiasts will tell you that nothing beats charcoal. Charcoal
barbeque grills give meats a smokey flavor no gas grill can match. And
many of these same enthusiasts believe that waiting for the charcoal
to burn down to hot coals is part of the fun of barbequing.
Charcoal barbeque grills come in three basic designs; Built-in, Freestanding,
and Tabletop. Built-in grills are meant to be installed as part of a
backyard kitchen. They are usually permanently affixed to a patio, and
often surrounded by brick or stone.
Freestanding charcoal barbeque grills are the most common. These units
can be moved and are designed to stand by themselves. Tabletop grills
are usually much smaller and have to be set on a flat surface. These
are often used as a portable grill for camping.
