Barbeque Equipment
Some
barbeque equipment is necessary for any grilling activity, while other
items are specific to a few unique instances. For instance, in almost
any grilling endeavor you will want either a set of tongs or a spatula,
many times both are… if not required, then a very handy set of
tools to have around. There are other pieces of equipment that you use
before and/or after grilling as well.
Take a grill cover for example. If you just spent several hundred dollars
on a brand new grill, it’s a smart move to spend an extra twenty
or thirty bucks on a piece of barbeque equipment to protect that investment
from rain, snow and the rigors of the sun. Grill covers are made of
a tough fabric that is water resistant and won’t fall apart after
a year or two in the outdoors. They are much less expensive than buying
a new grill because the bottom of yours rusted out and fell off.
Other pieces of barbeque equipment, like a grill brush or a sauce burner,
are handy for enhancing the food you cook on the grill. A grill brush
in particular is a must have for any grilling enthusiast. After you
cook some meat, there are inevitably bits left behind on the bars of
the grill. The stiff bristles on a grill brush will clean the bars so
that your next meal won’t taste like the charred remnants of your
last meal. A sauce burner will allow you to keep a basting mixture warm
without taking up grill space-or risking burning the sauce, the burners
are independently adjustable from the rest of your grill.
